The May newsletter for the Decadent Ducks is now available at http://www.decadentducks.com/2007/newsletter0501.htm

The latest numbers indicate that we've already met our contract obligation a the hotel, which means that we already have as many people as last year in the group, and the numbers keep growing. The hotel has added more rooms to the reservation system, so there should be no trouble trying to reserve rooms.

All indications from New Orleans indicate that this is going to be a very busy year for Decadence. The city is rebounding, and people are finally feeling that it's safe enough to go back. Jazz Fest is in it's second weekend there, and there have been no reports of incidents beyond the usual.

Just getting ready to leave Boston. Had a great weekend. Went to Ramrod on Friday night and ran into an old friend who manages the place.

The place wasn't very crowded, except for an hour between midnight and 1am. Got busy for an hour and then cleared out.

Saturday's weather was nice, had lunch with David in Quincy, and I think that I talked him into going to Southern Decadence. He's going to talk to a few friends and get them to go as well.

Saturday night went to the Alley, and it wasn't very interesting at all, mostly because Corey and I were very tired from Friday night!

BearCiti has shipped the postcards that they printed and they look great. They sent me about 5,000 of them, so I've got some work to do getting them distributed!

I saw the ad that I placed in Bay Windows, and it really looked good. I'm glad that I did it. I just hope that the investment pays off with additional guys in the group.

I'm heading back to Vermont today, hoping to get there before dark. I also have to go to the Chinese Supermarket to stock up on some spices and some Pot Stickers!

This coming weekend I'm going to Boston in order to spend a weekend with a buddy. His boyfriend is going out of town, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to have a boys weekend, and act like we're in our 20's again - those of you who know me, know that was a LONG time ago!

I'm also going to be finalizing some advertising plans with Bay Windows and In News Weekly to get an ad into their papers for my real estate business and for the Decadent Ducks. Bay WIndows ad will appear in their travel section and In News Weekly will be in the Pride Guide.

I'm planning on being in Boston for Pride too, so if any of you want to meet up in Boston, that would be the weekend for it.

I've managed to post photos of the Atlantis Cruise that we went on to my website at www.aerorecord.com - I also posted Bob & Brian's photos, and I'll have Corey's photos this weekend and add those next week.

I'm already planning for the end of Summer

It's a strange time of year, the Summer hasn't even started, and I'm in full swing planning Southern Decadence. The hotel is taking reservations, and the sponsors are lining up to get their products and services into the gift bags.

Now is the waiting game, to watch the numbers of the reservations grow and grow... We always book more rooms than I contract with, so I don't know why I worry, but I do.

It's the syndrome every party host has 10 minutes before everyone arrives, when they suddenly think, "What if no one comes!!"

I look forward to getting back in the swing of posting again, after being absent for so long. I also look forward to re-connecitng with friends on here.
